Introducing the Downtown Little Rock Master Plan

What would you like to see in Downtown Little Rock to make it a place where people were able to easily get around to go to work, enjoy natural spaces, run errands, spend time with friends, connect and contribute to a thriving city and urban core?

Lucky for us, there are some dedicated urban planners, designers and engineers who help cities accomplish these things with specific projects, programs, partnerships and policies. And they have created a list of possibilities for the City of Little Rock to consider. The thing is there is a lot we CAN do, but it will all take resources — time and money for planning, collaboration, and implementation —  to make happen.

That’s where we — the residents of Little Rock — come in. We have an opportunity to rank the ideas based on what we think is most critical to shaping our Downtown to be more of a thriving and livable place. And something else to think about as you review the different ideas: Is there anything being proposed that you and others can start laying the groundwork for? Or has already begun? If so, shoot us a note. We’d love to hear about your efforts!

Here is a cheat sheet with the key ideas being proposed. Even after the survey closes, it’ll be helpful to have on hand to reference and connect the dots with other city initiatives (e.g. how to increase housing, how to make our streets safer, how to increase green spaces and trails, etc…). And here is a link to the survey due by Friday, March 15!
